Marriage Licence dated 29/3/1684 TCD "Richards, Goddard, Pen (Mr Ryde) Oct 19 1678, aged 17; s. of Solomon; b Co Wexford" Betham (Sketch Pedigrees Vol VIII page 53) says John Richards was his only son and that he (John) died intestate. In a conveyance dated 11 Aug 1684 under Historic Manuscripts Commission ref 31267 Solomon Richards granted to his son Goddard Richards of Wexford, Gent and Dorothy Richards alias Jacob, wife of the said Goddard Richards in trust for them and their heirs male; of the lands of Clonmore 126 acres, 1 Rood and 22 perch and Coolidine 27 acres 1 rood 24 perch for which Goddard Richards is to pay 'a33 2s 3p quit rent. Signed by S.Richards and witnessed by William Hughes, Samll (?) Hughes Jn Roe (?) and John Jacob. Witnesses to litany of seisin "by delivery of a sodd & twigg upon the lands of Clonmore in the name of the whole" John Jacob; Francis Jacob; Samll (?) Hughes. Counterpart signed by Goddard Richards. (Note these lands are listed as part of the grant of lands to Solomon Richards dated 15 April 1679). The original source of this Deed is papers in the custody of W.J.Shannon and recorded by Ainsworth as Report of Private Collections No 248. Many of the papers from W.J.Shannon are now in the National Archives in Dublin - but the Richards papers were not deposited there.
