Note on Husband: John JACOB - shared note

Year of birth is a guesstimate of Sigginstown, Co Wexford According to "The Families of Jacob" by Archibald Hamilton Jacob and John H.Glascott (Dublin 1875) he left six sons and two daughters, but doesn't name the daughters. In his will (dated 5 May 1708) asked to be buried near wife in Tacumshane churchyard and mentioned his grandson John Richards. (Irish Ancestor Vol 2 p122) The families of Jacob by A.H.Jacob & J.H.Glascott, Dublin 1875 says that William Jacob (c.1610 - 1688) came to Ireland as a Lieutenant in Cromwell's army and was granted lands in Sigginstown by the act of settlement of 1667.
