The Deed dated 1710, Vol 31, page 24, number 17346, mf 461320, v, grants the property of Curratubbin, Monydane and Lasglassin to William Bolton (3) for the Lives of his grandson, William Bolton (15) [whose father Henry Bolton (6) was William Bolton's (3) oldest son] , and for the Lives of the sons (both named William) of his two daughters. Thus, this William (3) had young grandchildren in 1710 (all named William!), and at the possible age of 40 would have had to be born before 1670. The lastest date of birth of Henry (1) in 1650 assumes that he was 20 years only when William (3) was born. This is consistent with the fact that his son Henry (6) was married before 1710, and thus born before 1690 so that his father would have had to be born before 1670. A William Bolton of Ballinvalley died before 1762 (say 1760) when the adminstration of his estate was granted (Index of the Court of the Exchequer - Dublin). If this is the estate of the subject William, than he would have lived to age 90 -- not impossible. If so this makes his son William age 50 to 70 in 1760 placing his birth at approximately 1700. Life expectance during this time was not very different than today providing you managed to get past the first 40 or so years. William's wife's name is unknown.
