Note on Husband: William BOLTON (BALLINVALLEY) - shared note

William Bolton (doubtlessly William Bolton (3) is the father of this William Bolton (7)) of Ballinvalley was the Grantee in 1749 of Ash Clasheen part of Curratubbin to John Bolton -- the Deed Dated 1749, Vol 140, page 169, number 93720, mf 560265, xliv. The witnesses to the deed were William Bolton, the younger, of Ballinvalley and Richard Bolton of Ballyduff. This deed described the land as 80 acres (129 English statute acres) of the township of Curratubbin known and called Ash Clasheen. The Lives of the lease are William Bolton of Dublin (Henry's (6) oldest son), Gentleman. Review of the various land deeds demonstrates that Clasheen, Ash Clasheen and Lassinglassin describe the same land. The Deed dated 1757, vol 205, page 47, number 135029, mf 461390, liv, explicitly states that Lassinglassin, Lassinglassen and Clasheen are the same property William Bolton (the younger) is likely to have been his son. I further surmise that John (9) was also his son. If he is not a son, he is clearly part of the same family. William was married, but his wife's name is unknown.
