Successor to the estate of his father since his older brother died without issue in 1781. Also inherited his grandfather and uncle's properties since he was the only male heir left in 1810. The notation "Landed Gentry" says that he succeeded "by devise". Chaplain to His Majesty's Fort of Duncannon and Rector of Ballyhack Co. Wexford and also of Killesk & St James Dunbrody. (Burke ILG 1912) Some records list the birthdate as 1765 Information taken from tree prepared by John Henry Glascott now in the Dublin National Library by Ann Belanger. A Rev William Glascott voted at Waterford in the 1807 election on the tenth day 6 June 1807 for Sir John Newport. JP. April 25 1775 entered TCD aged 17; BA Vern 1779 (which would give a dob in 1758).
