I nformation from Simon Fairthorne, April 2000 Wedding was in Q4 of 1929 Probate granted to 14 August 1992 at Oxford Extract from notes made by Simon Fairthorne, April 2000 In 1911 at just 12 years of age, he entered the Royal Naval College at Osborne on the Isle of Wight. Two years later he moved at Dartmouth but did not complete the course since the war broke out. He rose to Lieutenant Commander, starting his career aboard the Leviathan and joined the battleship Warspite a week before the Battle of Jutland. He retired in 1923 and trained as a mechanical and electrical engineer before being called back into active service in 1939. He married Helen Dunbar Hamilton Jacob (921) Q Dec 1929 at Hendon district. He was a chartered electrical engineer in 1950
