Humphrey Mynors wrote. "He was bap Peterborough Cathedral 26 June 1688: adm sizar at Pembroke College, Cambridge 16 Mar 1705 (MA 1713), and ordained at Hereford (Venn). Described in May 1715 as of the City of Hereford (will of the wife of 32) he signed the Bishop's Transcripts for Withington as Vicar from 1723 to 1768 and was bur there 2 June 1769. "Richard Waring stood well with his wife's family. Elizabeth Mynors (wife of 32) made him a guardian of her granddaughter. George Mynors was the godfather of his dau Margaret, and made him his sole executor. Elizabeth Mynors (I4CIA) wanted him to make all the arrangements for her funeral and be a bearer, and left a cabinet to his dau Susannah. Margaret Traunter (49) made his son and heir, the Revd Richard Waring jr., her sole executor and beneficiary. He gives the impression of being liked and trusted".
