LL.B. taken in 1826 On 4th May 1817 Col Baskerville of Poulton died and left his Wiltshire estates to Thomas, grandson of his first cousin Philippa Powell. He took the name and arms of Baskerville by Royal Licence 3 July 1817 He was DL, JP Wilts and Sherriff 1827: MP for Herefordshire 1841-1847.
