Entry in Lincolnshire Pedigrees Harleian Society 1902 Martha 1st daughter and co-heir, born 1652, married at Wellingore 6 Oct 1674, Brian Nevile of Aubourn (marriage settlement dated 16 & 17 Oct 1674) died 20 March 1710 aet 58 Tombstone recorded on 10 August 1833 Here lyeth the body of Martha eldest daughter & Co-heir of Thomas Ellis Esq, & of Jane his wife, eldest sister & co-heir of Sir Chris. Nevile, knt by her husband Brian, a younger son of George Nevile of Thorney Esq., she had numerous issue & continuing long in a broken state of health made her request to him whenere it should please God to put an end to her being in this world to lye in her grandmother's grave under whose strict example of piety she had her first impressions, which happened ye 30 of March 1710, in ye 58th yr of her age her grandmother having paid the same debt to nature ye 11 of Sept 1683, after a separation of near 27 years, their bodys have here met again to mingle .......
